Botanical Source:this herb origined from dry rhizoma of the composite family plant Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz.
Dig out at period after First Frost before the beginning of winter,when lower leaves turned yellow,upper leaves turned fragile,get rid of soil and sands,bakeout or dry in the sun,get rid of fibrous root.
The root bakeout is called "Hong Shu(Baked Atractylodes)",the root dried in sun is called "Sheng Shai Shu(raw Atractylodes dry in the sun)",also called "Dong Shu(winter Atractylodes)".
